Former Iranian ambassador, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, said that Taliban are facing the crises of leadership, legitimacy and controling the Islamic State – Khorasan Province [ISKP].
“Leadership crisis and emphasizing on concentration of power lead to intensification of domestic and hidden cinflict. The legitimacy crisis requires fighting non-Afghan terror groups as well as reforming the way of governance, and controling the Islamic State – Khorasan Province [ISKP] and preventing them from becoming an effective factor in internal and foreign issues,” Bahrami explained.
The news comes as so far no country has officially recognized the Taliban, and their internal conflic widens day by day.
The Taliban have repeatedly rejected the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan, but recent leaked documents of the US indicate that Afghanistan has become the center for ISIS’ coordination.
