US EX-President Trump Holds First 2024 Campaign Rally

KABUL (BNA) Ex-US president Donald Trump used his first election rally in Waco, Texas, on Saturday to rail against prosecutors investigating him and try to fire up his base ahead of next year’s Republican primary elections.

Trump facing potential indictment opened Saturday’s rally by playing a song, “Justice for All,” that features a choir of men imprisoned for their role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol singing the national anthem and a recording of Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Trump highlighted Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping meeting this week in Moscow. He described both as “very smart people” and said the two “talking about the world order for the next 100 years” was “one of the saddest things you can imagine.” Reported CNN.

Trump has also repeatedly invoked violence, urging his supporters to protest, and used increasingly racist and dehumanizing rhetoric, according to media.
