Uzbekistan Ready to Increase Trade to $1 Bln with Afghanistan
KABUL (BNA) The country’s Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Uzbekistan Special envoy for Afghanistan, Abdulaziz Kamelov, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul.
A meeting, focused discussion, on political, commercial, economic and agricultural between the two countries held.
The Uzbekistan envoy Kamelov said that he traveled to Afghanistan on the direction of the president of that country to discuss bilateral ties, trade and agriculture with Afghanistan.
He said that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the sector of agriculture and water management and increase the level of bilateral trade to one billion dollars.
In the end, the two sides agreed on the appointment of a joint delegation of experts from the two countries in assorted assignment sectors so that the opportunities between the two countries can be discussed further.
