The Japanese government has pledged an additional 106.7 million USD in aid for implementation of humanitarian and basic human needs assistance projects in Afghanistan.
According to Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan, these projects will be implemented by the UN agencies, international organizations and NGOs, all aiming for the betterment of livelihoods through multiple approaches.
With the upcoming 106.7 million USD, the cumulative Japanese assistance to AFG since August 2021 will amount to 335 million USD.
The Japanese government had previously provided Afghanistan with a donation of roughly 58 million USD in October 2022.
