The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, visiting Afghans stranded in Camp As Sayliyah, said that they “will soon call the United States home.”
Blinken in his visit to Qatar has met some of Afghan citizens in exile.
“Qatar’s support for the people of Afghanistan has reinforced our partnership,” Blinken added.
Camp As Sayliyah is one of the US camps that after the evacuation, the US local allies have been settled with their families there.
The news comes as it has been more than a year that a number of Afghan citizens are stranded in camps in Qatar, and waiting to be transferred to the US.
