Newly Printed Afghani Banknotes To Enter The Market Soon

Afghanistan’s central bank, Da Afghanistan Bank, has announced that newly-printed banknotes will soon enter the market to replace the worn out notes.

According to the central bank, three billion new Afghani banknotes will be printed by the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW). The notes will consist of 20 Afghani and 100 Afghani bills and will be handed over to Afghanistan by the end of 2022.

Meanwhile economic analysts have assured that the arrival of the new banknotes will have no impact on the prices as they will replace old notes.

However, if the old ones are not collected, then the prices of goods may go up, resulting in inflation, and the value of the Afghani will decline against the dollar.

Currently, one US dollar is exchanged for 88.10 Afghanis.
