Afghan Officials Streed for TAPI Gas Distribution

KABUL (BNA) The deputy technical Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and met with Turkmenistan authorities of TAPI project in that country.

In a meeting the Technical deputy of Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan and Mohammad Murad Amanov, the executive director of the TAPI project and their work team at the center of “Turkmen Gas” on the design, consumption and establishment of the gas distribution network in the city, the Afghan Ministry of Mines in a statement.

The delegation of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has appealed that a technical teams of the two countries needs to start working on the gas distribution network for Herat industrial parks as soon as possible.

According to the statement, the deputy technical minister of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum pleaded to receive the “action plan” or the division of time for the start of the TAPI project, which was accepted by the administration of the TAPI project and granite a commitment that the plan will be available to the Ministry within two weeks.

Lately, a delegation headed by Engineer Wahidullah Haleemi, Deputy Technical Minister of Mines and Petroleum, traveled to Turkmenistan to discuss key issues related to TAPI project.
