Thousands of Needy Family Received Aid Across the Country

KABUL (BNA) Officials of the Kandahar Refugees and Repatriations department say that they have distributed aid to 50,376 needy families in one year.
The provincial head of Refugees and Repatriations department of Kandahar, Mawlawi Muhammad Qaseem Tasneem, told BNA that since last one year, 50,376 needy families in Kandahar city and districts have been received food, non-food and cash with the assist of partner organizations.
The food and non-food items have been distributed to 19,963 families and 2.7 million Afghanis have been given cash assistance to the remaining 30,413 families, he added.
He said that in addition to the above aid, 41 bridges, two clinics, solar power systems for five clinics and two schools have been repaired in Kandahar city and districts.
According to another report, the first round of food aid distribution to needy and poor families has started by A.H.F in Laghman province.
Meanwhile, with the financial support of the World Food Programme (WFP), food aid has been distributed to 1000 needy families in Logar.
It is must be said that with the arrival of sure security in the country, the return of refugees has accelerated.
