Naseer Ahmad Faiq, Chargé d’Affaires of the Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the United Nations is expected to address the world as a representative of the people of Afghanistan which is scheduled to be held on September 26.
Pakistani media reported Monday that the Taliban had suggested Suhail Shaheen to be appointed as a permanent representative to the United Nations last year, instead, Ahmad Faiq in February of this year took responsibility and will represent Afghanistan in this year’s meeting.
The UN Secretariat has reserved the second opportunity from the last day of the summit for the speech of the permanent representative of Afghanistan in the UN.
