Aid Group Employee Beaten Up by Local Taliban Commander in Bamiyan Province

Local sources in Bamiyan report that an employee of the aid agency was severely beaten up by a local Taliban commander.

Local sources told Hasht-e Subh on Sunday (September 18th) that an Islamic Relief aid worker was beaten up by Sayed Hussain Jawed, the Taliban police chief, in Yekawlang No. 1 District.

Local Taliban commander suggested Najibullah Dadfar, an employee of this aid group, to give him a share in a project in Yekawlang No. 2 District or implement this project near his house.

However, this employee did not pay attention to the requests of the police commander of Yakawlang No. 1 District, as a result of which he was beaten.

The officials of Islamic Relief have not yet expressed an opinion about the beating of the employee of this institution by the Taliban police commander in Yekawlang No. 1 of Bamiyan province.

Previously, it has also been reported that the Taliban beat up and arrested the employees of aid organizations in various parts of Afghanistan.
