Protecting Country’s Cultural Heritage is one of MoIC Priority: Khairkheh
KABUL (BNA) Mullah Khairullah Khairkheh, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, today, Tuesday met with the Directors of information and culture of Logar and Baghlan to discuss reservation country’s cultural heritage.
Mawlawi Assadullah Mustafa Hashemi director of information and culture of Baghlan, and Qazi Rafiullah Samim, director of information and culture of Logar, respectively, shared details on the cultural situation, functions and cultural programs in the respective provinces, according to Bakhtar News Agency correspondent.
The Directors of Information and Culture of the mentioned provinces shared a number of their problems and proposals, mainly in the fields of lack of books in the public libraries of these provinces, provision of educational and cultural programs for the youth, holding seminars and workshops.
Afterward, Minister Khairkheh appreciated their efforts and underlined that one of the priorities of the ministry is to pay attention to the growth of authentic Afghan culture in accordance with Islamic and national values and to protect the country’s cultural heritage and historical monuments.
In the meantime the Minister Khiarkheh assures the directors of Information and Culture of provinces,regarding the preparation of books for the libraries of these provinces and delivering to the provinces based on their requset.
