KABUL (BNA) Afghan Foreign Minister of Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met Iran’s Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian, on Thursday.
In a meeting, the problems of Afghan businessmen and refugees living in Iran, and issues related to the borderline and transit development were discussed, according to the Afghan Foreign Ministry statement.
The Iranian Minister and his accompanying delegation stressed the implementation of the Helmand water agreement of 1351 between Afghanistan and Iran, added to the statement.
Mr, Mehrabian the Iranian minister said that there is adequate opportunities in terms of infrastructure in Afghanistan, and Iran is ready to cooperate in the fields of energy production, agriculture, water supply, and mining.
Both sides highlighted that Afghanistan and Iran have economic, cultural, and social commonalities, and efforts should be made to prevent the hinders of regional and international rivals to prevent their progress.
