KABUL (BNA) A man was rescued today, Sunday from the grip of abductors, and three of the abductors were arrested, said Kabul security personnel.
The chief of Kabul police, Qari Muhammad Qaseem Ayubi said that the abducted person is Ahmed Fawad and he was kidnapped a few days earlier from the Karta Sakhi area of the 3rd police district of Kabul city.
Ayubi said the abductors demanded 1 million USD from Ahmed Fawad’s family in exchange for his release.
Ahmed Fawad was finally rescued from the grip of the kidnappers in the area of the Paghman district of Kabul after successive efforts by the security forces and three kidnappers were arrested by the security forces during an operation.
The cases of the arrested kidnappers have been completed and they will soon be handed over to the judiciary, said Ayubi.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, during a series of operations, the security forces rescued one person from the grip of the kidnappers in the 2nd police district of Sar-e-pul province adding to the reports that three kidnappers were armed with three Kalashnikovs, one pistol, one the possession of the rocket and a Toyota Corolla car were seized.
