The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, condemned Friday’s attack at Kabul International Cricket Stadium, and added that attacks against civilians and civilian objects are strictly prohibited under international humanitarian law.
He also said that 19 civilians killed and many others wounded as a result of the attack.
On the other hand, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan, Thomas West, expressing his concern over the incident said that he had been deeply saddened by reports of an explosion at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium.
The explosion took place at Kabul International Cricket Stadium while people were watching Shepagiza matches in PD 8. Taliban said that four people killed as a result of the attack.
Additionally, the emergency hospital said a dead body and 12 wounded have been brought to the hospital.
So far no group or individual has claimed the responsibility.
