Taliban Allocates Aid Packages of Bamiyan Province to Their Own Fighters in Maidan Wardak

Local sources in Maidan Wardak province have confirmed that the Taliban group has seized the aid package and has distributed it to its members, which was the rights of Bamiyan residents.

According to reliable sources, more than 100 Taliban members, who are the main residents of Maidan Wardak and whose duties are in Bamiyan province, have transported several food and non-food trucks from Bamiyan to Maidan Wardak province.

Sources say that the aid was provided by Germany in partnership with the Union Aid and was allocated to 2,200 poor families in central Bamiyan and the Yakawlang District.

According to sources, the head of the Taliban Immigration Department in Bamiyan province, who is  of Maidan Wardak resident, has changed the list of families in need, adding the names of the Taliban members.

Similar reports have already been published in other provinces, which the United Nations has raised deep concerns over  the Taliban’s intervention and disturbance in the distribution of humanitarian aid.
