8 thousand Acres of Land Property of Hajj Dept Is on the Occupation of Usurpers: Officials Warns
HERAT (BNA) At least 8,000 acres of land property of Hajj and Religious Affairs department are in the occupation of usurpers in Herat, on Wednesday authorities warn in case the usurpers have not left the property they will be faced law by force.
The head of the Hajj and Religious Affairs department of Herat Mawlavi Najibullah Karokhi, says that the usurped lands are being persecuted by the Islamic Emirate and any land that belongs to the establishment of the department will be taken from the usurpers.
Karokhi added that the Hajj department property lands in the province total are 44,000 acres, including some shops and houses downtown.
The head of the Hajj department in an interview with BNA said that the Islamic Emirate is very sensitive to retaking governmental properties from usurpers, calling on the usurpers to leave the lands or any other properties belonging to the government.
According to him, the Hajj administration planning to build more mosques after retaking the land property from usurpers.
He added that about 30 to 35 percent of Herat’s mosques now have government electricity bills, and some other mosques are in the process of nationalizing their electricity.
In addition, more than 300 clerics who were formerly paid by the government continue to receive their salaries from the new administration as well. He spoke.
Adding that the process to register all clerics has resumed based on they will receive a monthly salary from the government.
Mawlavi Najibullah Karokhi, head of Herat Hajj and Religious department, said that 752 people from Herat will attend Hajj al Faraz this year.
So far there have been two flights from the western part of the country and the pilgrims of Herat will travel in two flights, according to him.
All expeditions including expenditures are under the management monitoring of the Hajj and Religious department, said officials.
Lately, the Hajj and Religious administration called on Hajj performers to avoid extra expenses, and assist the needy instead.
