Sources in Panjshir province say Taliban soldiers have tortured a civilian until the victim fainted and then left him in a deserted area.
Sources on Monday (June 20th) told Hasht-e Subh that the man was named Faridullah and was a resident of Anaba district.
According to sources, he was arrested yesterday for no reason from his home near the provincial office of the former election commission.
The Taliban released him this morning in the area of Kora village, Shotul district, where his relatives found him unconscious.
Sources say the man’s relatives took him to an emergency hospital.
The Taliban have previously detained and tortured civilians in Panjshir province.
