A Severe Storm Shocked Jawzjan

SHEBERGHAN (BNA) A severe storm hit Jawzjan province Sunday afternoon, the storm is said to be moving towards Balkh province, according to local residents.

Local officials in Jawzjan say that strong winds and dirt have caused the city’s shops to remain closed for several hours, power has been cut off and the return service of trucks has been halted for some two hours.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department announced heavy rains and storms in several provinces of the country on Saturday.
