World Bank Injects 150 Million USD Additional Aid Package to Rural Areas of Afghanistan

The World Bank has recently provided assistance to Afghanistan with another $150 million to help people in rural areas of the country.

This assistance was allocated to Afghanistan at the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The aid is part of the World Bank’s $195 million aid package so as to provide critical livelihood and life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable rural populations in Afghanistan.

This aid package comes at a time when the rural residents, especially farmers, are facing double poverty and serious economic problems, so they are unable to buy seeds for their lands.
