A Family Kills Three Members of Another Family for Personal Animosity
Three members of a family were abducted and then killed by another family in Uruzgan province, according to local Taliban officials.
The bodies of the three were discovered on Saturday, June 11, in the Tagab area of the province’s Chaar Cheno district, according to Agha Wali Quraishi, the spokesman for the Taliban police office in Uruzgan province.
According to the Taliban spokesman, the two families had a long-standing animosity, which resulted in one family kidnapping and killing three other family members.
According to the local sources, the victims’ families and members of the aggressive and kidnapping family clashed when the bodies were discovered, wounding three individuals.
The injured are claimed to be victims’ family members.
However, consistent with spokesperson Qureshi, 15 people have been arrested and are being interrogated in connection with the incident.
There have been allegations of personal animosity resulting to confrontations, fights and killings in recent months, the most of which are honor killing or due to drought over water and lands.
The incidence of suicides and personal rivalries that result in homicides, target killings, honor killings, and car accidents has grown in recent months.
