Taliban Beat Up Tailors for Allegedly Sewing Women’s Clothing in Herat

Local sources say the Taliban have assaulted some tailors in Herat city.
A local source told Hasht-e Subh on Sunday that the Taliban had beaten up some tailors while sewing women’s clothing in their shops.
According to the source, the Taliban has ordered the city’s tailors not to sew women’s clothes. The Taliban have recently imposed severe restrictions on hairdressers, tailors, shops and public places in Herat and other provinces.
The incident took place in the Jakan area of Herat city.
Tailors in Herat say that they provide a piece of bread for their families by sewing men’s and ladies’ clothes.
The Taliban had previously threatened to shut down ladies’ tailoring in Herat.
