Pakistan does not want any spoiler’s role in Afghanistan: Islamabad
Spokesman of Pakistan’s foreign ministry, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, said that Pakistan does not want any damaging role in Afghanistan.
He addressing a weekly press conference pointed out that Pakistan is constantly raising concerns over rising terrorism and cross-border attacks.
Iftikhar Ahmed once again reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful, stable and sovereign Afghanistan, saying that the country does not want any spoiler’s role in Afghanistan.
Speaking about the grand jirga in Afghanistan, he said that the purpose to involve tribal jirga in talks with “banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)” is to establish peace in Afghanistan.
He reiterated that India has always played a spoiler role in Afghanistan.
Iftikhar Ahmed added that Pakistan would continue to take steps in accordance with the constitution for peace in the region
