According to The Guardian, rain has flooded thousands of villages and caused landslides in northeastern Bangladesh.

Heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in parts of Bangladesh and India, killing at least 57 people and displacing nearly 2 million others, the countries’ officials say.

Annually, extreme rainfalls and floods in Bangladesh and India claim dozens of lives and cause measurable financial losses.
