Resistance Fronts in Baghlan Call on Exiled Afghan Politicians to Fight Against Taliban on Battle Grounds Instead of Begging for Mercy

On Thursday, May 19, a number of exiled Afghan politicians gathered and met at the residence of Abdul Rashid Dostum, including Mohammad Mohaqiq, Abdu Rab Rasool Sayyaf, Atta Mohammad Noor, Karim Khalili, Ahmad Wali Masoud, Mir Rahman Rahmani, and Mohammad Alam Ezidyar in Turkey’s capital Ankara.
They have formed the National Resistance Front High Council in order to negotiate with the Taliban to end the ongoing clashes in the country and put an everlasting end to the sufferings of the Afghan people
Now, in a joint statement issued on Friday, May 20, the National Resistance Fronts in Andarab, Nahrin, Khost, Khinjan, and Tala Wa Barfak districts in Baghlan province have strongly criticized these exiled politicians’ behavior towards the Taliban, saying that suppression and politics would not work to make the Taliban accept their demands.
According to the statement, these politicians should have protected the martyrs and Resistance Front against the Taliban in the meeting. The statement further has said that the organizers of the Ankara meeting did not have a clear word and strategic plan for the future of Afghanistan.
“The only way to force the Taliban to obey the will of the people of Afghanistan is to resist them,” the statement further added. “Begging, politics, and playing with words only distract the minds and sharpen the sword of Taliban oppression.”
In addition, the Resistance Fronts in Baghlan have called on these politicians to come out honestly and defend the people of Afghanistan if they have the will and ability.
The Resistance Fronts have said that the High Council of National Resistance must put pressure on the Taliban to form an inclusive government that represents all ethnic groups and religious monitories; otherwise, they would continue to fight against the Taliban until their demands are met.
