Four Taliban and One NRF Member Killed in Clashes in Panjshir Province

Locals say National Resistance Front (NRF) forces attacked the Doab checkpoint in the Hesa ​​I district of Panjshir province.

A reliable source confirmed the incident in speaking to Hasht-e Subh, stressing that the attack took place on Monday (May 16th). According to him, four Taliban members and one member of the NRF have been killed.

The NRF has captured the Doab checkpoint for about 40 minutes, setting it on fire before withdrawing its forces from the warzone. The source added that the NRF forces also took with them some weapons and military equipment left by the Taliban.

The Taliban and the National Resistance Front have not yet commented.

Clashes between the NRF and the Taliban have been going on for several days in the Dara district of Panjshir province. Recently, however, the Taliban withdrew from the Dara district, moving their forces to other districts.
