Kabul – As a result of a massive explosion in the Shiite mosque in Balkh, medical sources have confirmed that at least 50 dead bodies have been shifted to the Provincial Hospital.
According to a reliable source, 30 bodies are currently being kept in the morgue of the Balkh Provincial Hospital.
According to the source, the identities of these victims have not been identified yet, adding more than 40 injured have been taken to the hospital.
Earlier, sources had reported that more than 30 casualities and 80 others were injured in the blast in Mazar-e-Sharif.
The explosion took place around noon today in a mosque, located in Mazar-e-Sharif city.
The final death toll has not yet been reported.
ISIS-K has claimed the responsibility for the deadly attack on this masque.
