Floods in Panjshir Province Damage Infrastructures

Kabul – Panjshir province in the north of Kabul has witnessed rains and floods following the announcement of the Meteorological Department of heavy rains in several provinces of the country.

Ahmad Zia Yazdani, Head of Panjshir Disaster Management Authority, told Hasht-e Subh that floods in the province have destroyed public roads, roads in the Shuttle district, and agricultural lands in the district.

According to Yazdani, the main road will be opened to the people after a few hours, adding that investigations are going on to determine the extent of the damage to the people.

Panjshir is a mountainous province that witnesses flood in the spring every year.
