Taliban’s Acting Public Health Minister Criticizes International Agencies’ Interventions in Health Sector

Kabul – Taliban’s Acting Ministry of Public Health, Qalandar Ibad, has met with the representatives of WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, and other organizations involved in health sector promotions and services interventions.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, April 13.

The Taliban’s Acting Health minister has criticized the efficiency and lack of transparency in the intervention process of these organizations in the health sector of the country.

Qalandar Ibad has urged the respective organizations to develop effective mechanisms for improving accountability and transparency in their interventions.

Moreover, he has further called on the representatives of the agencies to design their intervention and program in close coordination with the Ministry of Public Health so that the ministry can monitor their program and budget investment.

During the meeting, the representatives of the respective organization promised to further work on better service delivery in coordination with the ministry.
