An 18-Year-Old Girl Commits Suicide in Bamiyan Province

Kabul – Local sources in Bamiyan province have reported that a young girl named Zahra committed suicide in the village of Ural Sorkhjoy in Waras district on Friday evening, April 1, and her family found her body hanging from a stable in the district.

According to sources, the victim was graduated from school and she intended to take Kankor examination (university entry exam in Afghanistan).

The motive behind her suicide is not yet clear.

Taliban district governor in Waras district has confirmed the incident, saying a team has been sent to investigate the case.
