Weapon Smuggling: Taliban Border Forces in Kandahar Arrest Two Person for Smuggling Weapons to Pakistan

Kabul – Following reports of increased smuggling of weapons and military equipment to Pakistan, Taliban border forces in Kandahar have reported of arresting two people in connection with weapons and military equipment smuggling to Pakistan across the Durand Line.

Mohammad Daoud, a Taliban force in 205th Al-Badr Corps, confirmed that they arrested the smugglers on Saturday evening, March 19.

Mohammad Daoud further adds that they have seized a massive amount of ammunition and weapons being smuggled to Pakistan.

Recently, to control the smuggling and suspicious activities along the borders, Taliban have increased night patrols along Afghanistan borders with Pakistan.

This is not the first time that a number of smugglers are being arrested for smuggling weapons to Pakistan. Many cases of weapons and former Afghan military equipment being smuggled to neighboring countries such as Pakistan and Iran are reported.
