Kabul – The authorities of COVID-19 Hospital in Nimruz province have reported they have started the hospital’s operations after a four-month of delay.
Fraidoon Hamidi, head of 20-Bed COVID-19 Hospital, told Hasht-e Subh that the hospital had been inactive for four months, adding the hospital will be funded for two months (March and April) by the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA).
Mohammad Nader Hamidi, head of CHA, called on the Ministry of Public Health to pay more attention to the hospital.
It is said COVID-19 Hospital in the province accepts patients on a daily basis who are infected by coronavirus and have returned mostly from Iran.
Earlier, the authorities and medical staff of the province complained about the lack of medical equipment and the non-payment of salaries for several months. However, the problem has not been fully addressed yet.
