Kabul – Local sources in Kapisa province have reported that unidentified armed men have murdered a craftswoman named Samar Gul in the province.
According to sources, she was killed at around 3:00 AM in Durbafan village, Mahmood Daraqi district of central Kapisa on Sunday (March 13).
Local Taliban members in Kapisa province have confirmed that the victim was killed by a shotgun.
“Taliban militants have launched a search operation to arrest the perpetrators of the incident,” Karimullah Wasiq, Taliban governor’s spokesman for Kapisa province, told Hasht-e Subh.
The motive behind the incident is not clear, but recently similar cases of mysterious murders have increased drastically and Taliban have failed to in place rule of law and ensure the security of the citizens. On daily basis, dozens of murders, killings, and violations are being reported that in most cases Taliban’s local militants are either involved in the case or are not responsive to the media and public.
