A local Taliban militant has accidently killed a local trader in the Shahr-e-Naw market in Samkanai district of Paktia province.
Omar Badri, spokesman for Paktia Police Command has confirmed the incident to Hasht-e Subh and further added that the perpetrator is arrested and has confessed his guilt.
Due to the lack of control over the Taliban militants around the country, there have been many reports of killings, violence, and terror published on media during the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, a video has recently been viral on social media, showing a young man being brutally murdered by Taliban fighters in Panjshir province, which carries the hallmark of a criminal act by the Taliban.
In addition, during the last couple of weeks, the Taliban have launched house-to-house search operations, which include violence and actions that are deemed to be against the moral and customs of the Afghan people. The search operations by the Taliban have raised a great measure of concern and it is viewed as of violating privacy and the motives behind this operation is nothing more than demoralizing the people.
