Provincial officials of the Intelligence body in eastern Nangarhar province said that they have arrested seven high-level armed robbers that would rob people’s houses and steal cars.

Head of Nangarhar’s intelligence body Dr. Basheer said that those arrested were two groups of robbers and kidnappers that committed crimes in the province and on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.

Basheer added that the criminals were arrested in four different Police Districts of the Nangarhar’s provincial capital Jalalabad city on Saturday.

“We have arrested two groups of kidnappers and robbers. One group would impersonate the Taliban affiliates and would enter houses on the pretext of searching. Then they would rob the houses. They were wanted by our special forces.” Said Basheer.

He further added that another group would conduct armed robbery on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway robbing people’s cars.
