Kabul – Taliban’s Security officials in Kunar province report that they have arrested at least 50 criminals convicted of different charges during the last month.
“We have arrested these criminals convicted of theft, murder, drug trafficking, and other crimes,” Mawlawi Abdul Haq Haqqani, the Police Chief of Kunar, told Hasht-e Subh on Saturday (March 5).
According to him, the suspects were arrested in different districts of the province, including Asadabad, the capital of Kunar province.
“We have referred 38 of these detainees’ cases to the judiciary and the cases of other 12 detainees are under our preliminary assessment. We will soon decide on remaining cases,” Said Abdul Haq Haqqani.
Moreover, he adds that 76 grams of tablet ‘K’, 68 grams of crystal, and some hashish were seized during the operation.
Meanwhile, security officials in Kunar province had previously reported the arrest of 65 people convicted of various charges.
