Kabul – Unknown gunmen killed a young boy in Faryab province, a source in the district of Dawlat Abad confirms.
According to the source, the murder took place at around 11:00 AM at the Mahmood Khil area of the Dawlat Abad district of the province on Friday morning, February 25.
The victim was named Hafizullah, who was a mechanic and aged 17.
Shamsullah Mohammadi, director of information and culture in the province, confirmed that the young boy was killed by a gun.
According to him, one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident and an investigation is ongoing about the case.
The level of targeted murders and criminal offenses in the country has increased significantly recently; meanwhile, unknown gunmen killed eight vaccinators in a separate incident in Kunduz province two days ago.
