MFA Expresses Concern over the Safety of Afghan Students in Ukraine

Kabul – Following the Russian invasion of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently expressed concern about the safety of Afghan students stranded in Ukraine.

The ministry’s spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi conveyed apprehension over the safety of Afghan students in Ukraine, stressing attempts are ongoing in order to keep them safe.

“We strive to use every possible means of sources in order to protect the students and to take them in a secure place,” he said.

According to him, the foreign ministry is in close contact with some neighboring countries, the world, and with a few organizations about the issue to be solved.

Meanwhile, Afghan students are worried about the safety of their lives since the escalation of tensions increased between the two countries and the invasion of Kyiv by Russian forces.
