Terrorist Attack in Russia; US Embassy in Moscow Warns Its Citizens

Kabul – The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has warned American citizens about the possible threat of terrorist attacks in public places in Moscow and St. Louis, TASS news agency reported.

As reported by the news agency, American citizens have been told not to go to the areas of St. Petersburg and the Russian-Ukrainian border.

According to TASS, there are threats of attacks on shopping malls, railways, metro stations, and other public places in major urban areas, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as tensions areas along the Russian-Ukrainian border.

The U.S. embassy in Moscow made the announcement in a press release on its official website on Sunday, TASS said.

Moreover, the agency stated that the U.S. Embassy in Moscow has advised its citizens in Russia to follow the international media coverage.

On the other hand, the U.S. embassy in Moscow has warned Americans to refrain from contacting strangers and to be vigilant in places where tourists and Westerners travel.
