Kabul – The Central Bank of Afghanistan has held a meeting with the Sharia Supervisory Board to monitor the country’s banking system.
During the meeting, the officials of the Central Bank of the country discussed different issues related to Islamic banking.
The members of the meeting showed the growth and development of the Islamic banking system in the country and cooperation with the Sharia Supervisory Board.
Noor Ahmad Agha, the first deputy governor of the Central Bank, said: ‘‘The work is going to develop Islamic banking more than ever.”
In addition, they have observed the policy of several commercial banks of the country at the meeting.
Meanwhile, this is the first meeting of the Board of Sharia Supervisory with national banks organized by the Central Bank of Afghanistan.
