Kabul – The famous Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie, by sharing an emotional letter of an Afghan woman on her Instagram page, calling on the world to help Afghan women not to be forgotten.
Without revealing the identity of the woman, she asked everyone not to forget what is happening to Afghan women in Afghanistan.
On her Instagram page, Jolie has written that a woman sent her this letter and said that since the fall of the former government, she has not been able to go to school.
According to Jolie, the woman who wrote the letter said she might never go out again or even speak as a woman.
“Please follow what is happening in Afghanistan where young women are taken away from their homes at night by gun and are being disappeared,” the Hollywood actress clarified. “And new restrictions on freedom are imposed, please help them not to be forgotten.”
In addition to sharing the Afghan woman’s letter, she shared a series of slides with the names of women activists in Afghanistan who have been disappeared including, Alia Azizi, Parwana Ibrahimkhel, Mursal Ayar, Zahra Mohammadi, Tamana Zaryab Parwani and her three sisters.
The famous Hollywood actress, who first appeared on Instagram last year, used her account to raise the voices of women and children.
Meanwhile, her first Instagram post was a letter from an Afghan girl who talked about the challenges ahead in Afghanistan.
