Lata Mangeshkar, India’s Legendary Singer, Dies at 92

Kabul – The famous Indian singer, Lata Mangeshkar, who had a history of winning the famous Bharat Ratna Award, died at the age of 92 due to coronavirus, Indian media have reported.

Moreover, doctors have confirmed Lata Mangeshkar’s death, saying she was hospitalized in late January this year due to Covid-19 symptoms.

The “nightingale of Bollywood” was born in December 1929, and sang about 40,000 songs in her lifetime.

Meanwhile, the Guinness Book of World Records twice named her as the world’s most-read singer due to her 25,000 and then 20,000 songs.

Furthermore, Lata has sung songs for many films and has won numerous Bollywood awards.

It is worth mentioning that Lata Mengishkar also has countless fans in Afghanistan and several generations have made memories with her voice.
