Taliban security officials in Faryab province say they have found the body of a man from Khan Chaharbagh district of the province.
The Taliban in the province said the body was found on Monday afternoon in the Dasht-e-Aas area of Faryab’s Khan Chaharbagh district.
The man’s body, who has been taken to the Andkhoy hospital by Taliban forces, did not show any signs of gunshot wounds or suffocation.
“The body was found inside a dilapidated room in Dasht-e-Aas, where most of the wealthy people live, and was taken to Andkhoy Hospital for examination,” said Shamsullah Mohammadi, head of information and culture in Faryab province.
Mohammadi added that the identity of this person has not been determined yet, saying that an investigation has been launched by Andkhoy security officials into how the young man died.
Five days ago, the bodies of two men were found in the Choghatak area of Maimana, the capital of Faryab province, and are still being kept in the morgue of the provincial hospital.
