Kabul – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has expressed a great deal of concern over the disappearance of two women protesters in Kabul, calling on the Taliban to provide information on their whereabouts.
Today Saturday, January 22, by expressing apprehension over the human rights situation in Afghanistan, UNAMA expressed worry about the disappearance of Tamana Zaryab Paryani and Parwana Ibrahimkhel.
The UN has asked the Taliban to provide information on the whereabouts of the two women activists in Kabul to demonstrate their commitment to human rights.
Tamana Zaryab Paryani and Parwana Ibrahimkhel, two active protesters in the recent women’s marches in the capital, have been disappeared since last Wednesday.
However, the Taliban officials say they have no clue.
