Kabul – The prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has once again called on the international community to provide immediate assistance to the millions of Afghans who are in imminent danger of starvation.
The Pakistani Prime Minister tweeted today (Saturday, January 22) that urgent aid to impoverished Afghanistan is required under the unanimously agreed principle of the Responsibility to Protect (R2P).
Imran Khan also posted in his tweet the published news of the British Guardian newspaper with excerpts from a letter written by former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to Foreign Secretary Liz Terrace.
The prime minister of Pakistan thanked them for helping to organize a $4.5 billion donors’ conference in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani Prime Minister had previously warned of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan and called on the international community to help Afghanistan.
