Sources in Panjshir confirmed that a Taliban vehicle had been targeted by a roadside bomb.
A local, who did not want to be named, told Hasht-e Subh that the incident took place on Friday morning (January 21st) in the Gorgoti area of Panjshir’s Rokha district.
According to the source, a fierce clash took place between Taliban forces and members of the Resistance Front for about an hour after a roadside bomb exploded.
The source added that Taliban forces arrested some youngsters in the area after the incident, taking them to an unknown location.
Meanwhile, local Taliban officials in Panjshir province confirmed the mine blast in the Rokha district, saying there were no casualties.
Abu Bakr Siddiq, the Taliban governor’s spokesman for Panjshir, also denied allegations of the detention of some youths in the province in an interview with Hasht-e Subh.
However, the National Resistance Front has not yet commented on the incident.
