Pentagon Releases Video of Airstrike During Evacuation Process

Kabul – The US Department of Defense has released a video of a drone attack on a residential house in Kabul that took place in the first days of the fall of Kabul.

The New York Times obtained the video through a complaint against the US Central Command and then posted it on its website on (Wednesday, January 19).

The Guardian quoted the New York Times as saying that the video included a 25-minute video of a US drone strike on a residential house in which nine members of a family, including seven children, were killed.

The US officials said at the time that (ISKP) operatives had planned to attack Kabul airport again from the house, but the Pentagon later called the attack a tragic mistake.

The released video shows a car parked inside a house and illustrates people gathered around the scene after the attack.

The attack took place three days after ISKP’s attack on the Baran Camp at Kabul Airport which the US said at that time that it had targeted an (ISKP) hideout, however, it was later revealed that (ISKP) was not involved and that the dead included members of a family, including seven children.

Nearly 200 civilians and 13 American soldiers were killed in an ISKP attack on Kabul airport.
