Taliban Condemns Houthi’s Attack on the UAE

Kabul – By publishing a newsletter, the Foreign Ministry of the Taliban acting government condemned the Yemeni Houthis attacks on Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

“We are saddened by the rocket attack on the UAE, in which the victims were foreign workers and civilian facilities,” Taliban Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said in the newsletter. “Targeting civilian facilities is an act that should be condemned.”

Moreover, the Taliban Foreign Ministry has stressed that stability in the region is in everyone’s interest and the parties involved must resolve all disputes through dialogue.

On Monday, January 17, Yemeni Houthis launched a series of drone and rocket attacks on Abu Dhabi which killed three people, including two Indian and one Pakistani.

In response to the attacks, the Saudi-led coalition launched an operation in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, killing 14 civilians.
