Kabul – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says the fundamental rights of women and girls in Afghanistan have been violated.
“Women and girls in Afghanistan need the support of the UN more than ever,” the agency tweeted today (Thursday, January 13).
The (OCHA) has stated that the purpose of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan is to increase assistance to women and girls in the country.
Moreover, the agency adds that women in Afghanistan should be supported by providing protection services, food, health and education assistance, and job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the remarks about attacks on women’s fundamental rights in Afghanistan have been made by the United Nations, as the Taliban acting government has deprived upper ninth-grade girls of going to school and many female government employees have been fired.
