The World Must Help to Prevent Human Crisis in Afghanistan: Pakistan Army

Kabul – The officials of Pakistan and Britain have discussed the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, stressing the need to provide more humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

“The international community must do more to help Afghanistan prevent a humanitarian crisis,” according to the Daily Times, said General Qamar Bajwa the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan in an interview with Christian Turner, a British official.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and the security situation in the region, including Afghanistan, the Office of the Chief of Staff said in a statement.

“For regional peace and stability, it is essential that the international community help Afghanistan prevent a humanitarian crisis,” said Bajwa.

Meanwhile, the remarks come as many Afghan citizens blame Pakistan, and especially its army, for creating the current crisis in Afghanistan.
