Aref Nouri, Head of Nourin TV, Released by Taliban

Kabul – The Afghan Independent Journalists Association (AIJA) has confirmed the release of Mohammad Aref Nouri, the head of Afghanistan’s private Nourin television network from the Taliban.

The association said in a statement that Aref Nouri, who had been detained by the Taliban, was released on (Tuesday, December 28th).

The (AIJA) welcomes Nouri’s release and calls on the Taliban to provide a platform for media work and cooperation with journalists in the country.

Mohammad Aref Nouri was arrested by the Taliban for unknown reasons on (Monday, December 27th).
